Walls

These are the walls
that have seen me bleed
when they thought
I was a thick skinned
old banyan tree.

These are the walls
that have seen me weep
in my darkest nights
when they thought
my glitter was gold.

These are the walls
that have heard
all my rustic secrets
with no judgments,
no quick-fix advices.

These are the walls
that have known
all the names
that I cursed
in my nightmares.

These are the walls
that I built with no bricks
no mortar
just an invisible promise
to be together
now and forever.
